Tests for dynamic characterisation of bare and infilled frames

In the framework of the Herakleitos project snap-back free-vibration tests were performed on a 3-storey bare and infilled frame structure. The fundamental period of the infilled frame was four times shorter than the period of the bare frame.
New testing campaign on textile-reinforced-mortar (TRM) retrofitted masonry infilled frames

A new testing campaign is underway at the Structures Laboratory in the framework of Herakleitos project. The project focuses on the behaviour of seismically deficient masonry-infilled RC frames which are retrofitted by advanced techniques to become seismically resistant.
A guide for design of bridges with emphasis on seismic aspects is available. The guide was produced in the framework of the ACES project and is available in English and Greek.
