First hybrid test between two research teams in Greece
in

The first hybrid test between two research teams in Greece was conducted in November between the Structures Laboratory (UPAT) and the University of Thessaloniki (AUTH).
A three-span real bridge structure of the Egnatia highway was tested, split in 5 substructures: 4 of them treated analytically via Opensees code (at AUTH node) while the 5th consisted of a rubber-bearing isolator tested physically at UPAT.
The test was followed by another one involving the University of Toronto for one of the analytical substructures.
