SERA/ARISTA TA project: Τwo parallel, near-full-scale 3-storey, two-bay reinforced concrete frames with bars, connected at all three floor levels through transverse beams and slabs into a stable 3D test structure, loaded in its long direction was tested.

Within the framework of research project PRESCIENT, the following tests were performed between April 2014 and May 2015:

Prescient project: The contribution and performance of RC slabs in the progressive collapse of structures subjected to accidental loads is investigated via testing a substructure of a two-span slab. A 2/3 scaled RC slab substructure designed according to current code procedures was tested quasi-statically.

First international distributed test

The first international hybrid test was conducted in November between the Structures Laboratory (UPAT), the University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) and the University of Toronto.

The first hybrid test between two research teams in Greece was conducted in November between the Structures Laboratory (UPAT) and the University of Thessaloniki (AUTH).

Cyclic test of three-storey masonry-infilled RC frame

Within the HERAKLEITOS project a 3-storey masonry-infilled frame was tested under cyclic loading.

The 2/3-scale specimen serves as a Control specimen. A twin one will be strengthened with Textile-Reinforced Mortar and will be tested under the same loading conditions.
